Description
The Point Tech SD Easy Thrust Adjustment Center is designed to simplify setup and improve performance in face-driver applications and other precision machining operations. Delivering 0.005 mm TIR (0.0001") accuracy, the center automatically adjusts thrust force to help ensure proper workpiece support. A colored ring on the rotor provides a visual indication of thrust levels, allowing operators to quickly verify low, medium, or high loading conditions. The design incorporates shock-absorption capability to help protect spindle bearings from repetitive impact loads during production. A heavy-duty disc spring compensates for variations in workpiece length and center-hole depth, helping maintain consistent support conditions. Proper operation requires positioning the drain hole on the bottom side to prevent coolant ingress. The point is heat treated to HRc 60 ±2, and a carbide-point option hardened to HRa 90 ±5 is available for applications requiring enhanced wear resistance.
