The Point Tech Dead Center is engineered for precision machining applications where maximum rigidity and accuracy are required. Designed specifically for machines with built-in tailstocks, the center delivers guaranteed accuracy of 0.002 mm TIR (0.0001"), making it suitable for high-precision turning and grinding operations. The point is heat treated to HRc 60 ±2 to provide excellent wear resistance and long service life during continuous operation. Its draw-off-nut design allows quick and convenient removal from the tailstock, simplifying setup changes and maintenance procedures. For applications involving abrasive materials or extended production runs, a carbide-point option hardened to HRa 90 ±5 is available to provide superior wear resistance and durability.
