The Point Tech BSL30 High Speed Economical Live Center is designed for machining operations requiring additional reach and accessibility while maintaining high levels of precision. The extended 30° configuration improves tool clearance and setup flexibility, making it easier to work around complex workpieces and restricted machining areas. Guaranteed to 0.002 mm TIR (0.0001") accuracy and supporting spindle speeds up to 6,000 RPM, the BSL30 utilizes a heat-treated point hardened to HRC 60 ±2 and double angular contact bearings for smooth, dependable operation. An anti-friction seal helps prevent coolant intrusion while maintaining bearing protection during high-speed operation. The heat-treated body contributes additional rigidity and durability. For applications requiring maximum wear resistance, a carbide-point option hardened to HRa 90 ±5 is also available.
