The Point Tech BBL30/BBL30C Value-Turn Live Center is designed for light- to medium-duty turning operations that benefit from additional clearance and setup flexibility. The extended 30° configuration provides improved accessibility around cutting tools and workpieces while maintaining guaranteed accuracy of 0.003 mm TIR (0.0001"). A slim body profile further enhances tool clearance and reduces interference during machining. The center point is heat treated to HRc 60 ±2 for long service life and dependable wear resistance, while the sealed rear bearing helps protect internal components from coolant intrusion and chip contamination. This protected bearing design promotes consistent operation and extends maintenance intervals. For applications involving abrasive materials or extended production runs, a carbide-point version hardened to HRa 90 ±5 is also available. The BBL30/BBL30C Series provides an economical precision solution for lathe operators requiring additional reach without sacrificing accuracy or durability.
