The Point Tech BB/BBC Value-Turn Live Center is engineered for light- to medium-duty machining on conventional lathe machines where dependable accuracy and long service life are required. Guaranteed to 0.003 mm TIR (0.0001"), the center provides consistent rotational accuracy for precision turning operations. Its slim body diameter improves tool clearance and accessibility, making it easier to machine complex workpieces and operate in confined setups. The point is heat treated to HRc 60 ±2 to provide excellent durability and resistance to wear during continuous use. A sealed rear bearing protects the internal bearing assembly from coolant, chips, and contaminants, helping maintain accuracy and extending service life. For applications requiring even greater wear resistance, a carbide point option hardened to HRa 90 ±5 is available. The BB/BBC Series delivers an economical combination of accuracy, reliability, and durability for everyday lathe operations.
